WHO'S THAT GIRL... IT'S JES!!!

Just sharing with you one of my happiest works to date as a designer---my Jessica Graphic Shirt.

What makes this special is that the girl printed on the design is one of my most treasured friends, my sweetiecake jessicake JESSICA YANG. :)

We were talking before about model Ornussa Cadness having been printed on a graphic shirt for Topman. Jess and I both thought it was super cool. And being a designer for Folded & Hung, (ehem) the country's one of the leading fashion brands (ehem), I decided to do the same with Jes, since she told me that it's also one of her dreams. 

Few months later, after design processes and product development, here comes the shirt I designed for her! The photo came from Jes herself, since the original photo of her that I wanted to put on the shirt was kinda "out of permission" to be used. But anyway, I really think the shirt design really captured what I wanted to express. 

I created a whole collection of graphic shirts inspired by her photo. And the collection (Yes, including this shirt) will be out on September at all Folded and Hung branches nationwide.

PS. Jess loves spicy food and so do I. I want to call the shirt Chili Chica Wow Wow coz it is so freakin HOT!!! :)

I really wish I made her happy. Besides, it's not everyday you get printed on a shirt and be sold all around the country. :)

Folded & Hung Menswear Pre-Fall Collection

Pre-Fall is my most favorite fashion season of all. Not just because I am in-love with pre-fall/autumnal colors, but mainly because in the Philippines, it is either rainy or gloomy during this season (August-September), and I love dressing up during somber days.

Anyway, here is our offering for the Pre-Fall Menswear at Folded & Hung. The collection mainly consist of nordic and aztec prints which is very much on trend this season, and also a mix of other different prints such as birds and winter florals (which sadly was not included on the photos below). This collection is very special to me because it is basically my first whole collection for F&H since I joined them last March. 

I am very excited to see all the clothes in store and for you guys to wear them.

Folded & Hung Pre-Holiday Menswear Collection: Preview

Hi guys!

It's June already, and summer is officially out. Here comes the wet rainy days, and before we know it, it's holiday season once again. Oh, how time flies!

And speaking of, we have already finished shooting our campaign for Folded & Hung Menswear Pre-Holiday Collection and as well as the Denim line. I am particularly excited because this is basically my first "complete" collection for F&H and I am very stoked to know how the market will like my aesthetics for the brand. Though I have been hearing a lot of positive feedback regarding the clothes, but you cannot still take away the pressure on my shoulder. LOL

Anyway, here are some sneak peek on what transpired on our Pre-Holiday campaign shoot. It was awesome, and getting to work with such talented and cool people is amazing.

Brent Javier who styled for the shoot is very nice and cool. I actually thought I kinda put him off being so "particular" and "demanding" on how the styling of the clothes will look like, with me being so "pakialamero" with some of the looks, and styling some lay-outs myself. Anyhow, Brent is very nice to work with and hopefully I get to work with him more in the future.

Our models and endorsers were all cool, too. It was my second time meeting Neil Etheridge and first time to work with him. While everybody else thinks of him as a sex symbol or a uber-hot guy, he's pretty much a simple ordinary guy to me. He's kinda nice also. Haven't got to talk to him that much, though.

I have done few styling stints at Party Pilipinas before but I have never been able to work with Elmo Magalona and Alden Richards yet. This was my first time, and they very nice and cool guys. Elmo is very reserved and kinda timid. Alden is very relaxed and super nice to talk to. He seems very humble and down-to-earth too.

And of course, Enrique Gil. Well, I have been styling in ASAP since last year and I actually have worked with Quen a couple of times already. He's still the same cool, relaxed, devil-may-care easy going guy. Very kind, energetic and so much fun. (And there's this one OMG over-the-top moment that I never saw coming. I cannot share this with you just yet, but it literally shocked me. Enrique can certainly do things way beyond what is expected from him. He is just too awesome for words. That's all I can say! LOL)

Anyway, hope you guys continue to check Folded & Hung stores for we have a lot of cool stuff in line for all of you. And come Pre-Fall/Pre-Holiday season which starts on August, hope you watch out for the collection.

F&H TEAM goes to ZALORA LAUNCH

Last Wednesday night, the whole Folded and Hung and Jellybean Creative Team went full-force to attend and support the ZALORA event at Skye Lounge in The Fort.

The whole team wore Folded and Hung and Jellybean stuff that are yet to be released in stores, so for those who we have met and partied with also had a sort of sneak preview of what's to come soon. :p

The event was hosted by Sarah Meier-Albano, and twas a pretty nice party, with cool fashyon people. :)

Twas my first ever event that I attended for F&H, and with the entire whole team so twas very fun and pretty memorable too. We capped the night off with a nice heavy dinner at Uncle Cheffy's as we were all too hungry after the fun event.

Hey guys! Sorry I haven't updated since last week. I have been super busy the whole week.

I just officially started as Folded & Hung's new Designer - Product Development Manager for Menswear.

Basically, my week revolved around WGSN looking for fashion inspiration and trends that I can apply for my first collection for the brand. Right now, I am developing the Pre-Holidaya nd Holiday Collection for Menswear. I am already excited, and I cannot wait till my designs finally hit the stores. I am also doing some designs for Back-to-school collection which will be out on May.

I am happy, but I am also pressured at the same time with the responsibility I have for the brand. I just really hope I can bring in new ideas and concepts for F&H that people will appreciate and like.

Well, I may be busy with work, but I never failed to catch up on some fashion shows on the recently concluded Paris Fashion Week. And I must say, that the fashion houses are really stepping it up, not just on their respective collections but especially in terms of their show concept and designs.

I was wowed by the enchanting collection of Sarah Burton for ALEXANDER MCQUEEN. I was also fascinated with the "crystal kingdom" set of CHANEL. I also loved the sleek sophistication of ELIE SAAB's collection. But what really knocked my socks off was Marc Jacob's show for LOUIS VUITTON.

Last season, the magical huge carousel on the set wowed the audience and fashion spectators alike. This time, they tripled the effort (and the budget) and the WOW factor as they set up a train station with a huge real TRAIN for the show! All aboard the Louis Vuitton Express!

The show gave me goosebumps all throughout, from the moment the "gate" opened, the first model alighting the train, her personal porter walking behind her, till Marc's bow at the end of the show.

AMAZING!!!

The bags looked so gorgeous! And just the entire feel of the show is marvelous! Just see for yourself, so you will know what I am talking about.

Seems like Louis Vuitton is taking fashion show production value to the highest possible level every season.

I can't wait for their next!
