VIVA FOREVER

And it did happen... the much awaited reunion performance of the most successful girl group in music history---the SPICE GIRLS!!!

Syempre, sila talaga ang inabangan ng sangkabaklaan at sangkalawakan noh! di talaga ako natulog kakahintay sa kanilang reunion perfromance at the London Olympics Closing Ceremony.

True to the spirit of Olympics, alam nyo ba na ang SPICE GIRLS lang ang one and only pop group in history na may official "Sporty" member. Kabog!!! Pasok sa banga! (nai-konek ko talaga eh noh? haha)

Shet na malagkit!!!!!! Lakas talaga maka-bakla ng moment! After fourty eight years nang kakahintay at kakatiis sa mga walang kwentang performances ng ibang artists, may lumabas na limang taxi cab sa gitna ng stage... at BOOM!!!!!

Ang bongga lang ng ganap! Grand Entrance ang mga muher in their own Black taxi cab with matching LED lights sa body reflecting their own 'characters'.

Ayaw pakabog sa fashyon ng mga potah! Kanya kanyang ganap sa outfit! In fairness, true to their signature and classic style pa din ang emoteng mga outfits nila, syempre updated and more high fashion version nga lang this time!

Emma Bunton aka BABY SPICE in Pink Maggie Cooke dress. Na-miss ko bigla yung magkabilaan niyang ponytail. haha

Geri Haliwell aka GINGER SPICE in Suzanne Neville Red Dress with Union Jack Detail. Taray! Kung maka-peace sign naman si bakla!!! haha

Melanie Brown aka SCARY SPICE in Zuhair Murad! Naku girl, ayaw ni J.Lo nyan! Inaagawan mo siya ng outfit! hahaha! In fairness naman kay bakla, ang sexy ng mga curves niya!

Melanie Chisolm aka SPORTY SPICE in JD Sports White Jumpsuit. Sporty na sporty! At kung maka-birit naman s bakla, parang wala nang bukas! Haha! In fairness, moment nya yan, Olympics naman eh at since siya ang Sporty Spice, siya na din ang bagong patron saint ng Olympics. Chos!!!

\
Victoria Beckham aka POSH SPICE in Giles Deacon. Syempre papakabog ba ang lola Vicky! Wish ko lang! Haha! Kung maka-aura si bakla, wagas na wagas!!! In fairness, true embodiment naman talaga siya ng word na POSH. Shalang shala ni mader! Walang kupas!!!

And speaking of POSH SPICE, eto lang talaga ang pinaka KABOG moment nya sa buong performance. tawa lang ako nang bongga sabay slow clap! WINNNUUURRRR!!!!

Sige, magkagulo lang kayo diyan, basta ako, a-aura! PAKAK!!! *sabay pout ng lips at pose*

AWAAAARRRRRDDDDD!!!!!

Such a moment to remember. May mga bulung-bulungan nga na ito na daw ang last time na makikitang buo ang lima na mag-perform... bakeeetttt? mamamatay na ba ang isa sa kanila? charot!

Oh well, this will probably go down in history as one of the most celebrated and watched Spice Girls Performance.

Oh childhood memories... :')

Viva Forever. Viva Spice Girls...

SOMEONE LIKE YOU

Just sharing with you one of the greatest concerts ever staged on Earth: ADELE Live at the Royal Albert Hall.

Like many others in all parts of the world, I am a HUGE HUGE fan of Adele. I have started to love her music since she first released her single "Chasing Pavements" few years back.

It completely amazes me how talented this woman is, and you can just feel how genuine she is.

The whole concert has a lot of spectacular moments: one of my faves is when she acknowledged her bestfriend, whom she have had a falling-off with and had rekindled their friendship after. I have the very same story with the person whom I consider the bestest bestfriend I ever had in my life. We have had a falling off and a big fight last year but we were able to ask and give each other forgiveness and rekindled our friendship after almost half-a-year of not seeing and talking to each other. And our friendship got a lot stronger and deeper. We again got a misunderstanding late last year (because of some issues we were not able to really sat down and talk over) but we are okay now. We talk, though we do not go out like we used to before (we are together almost everyday). Like Adele, I would really like to acknowledge my bestfriend, Mac, that I (still) love you and truly trust you and I still consider you as my bestfriend. Thank you for making such a big impact in my life, which until now helps me to grow and be a better person. I would like to acknowledge the friendship we have, despite all the bumps, the crazy rumors and stories, the hearsays that were never really proven true, I still owe to you the huge part of what I am today. I really really miss you... I really do :")

Anyway, watch the entire how, and witness how amazing Adele is.

PS: I cried three times on the entire duration of the show, especially after she sang Someone Like You. :')

GRAMMY AWARDS 2012: Red Carpet Watch

Dubbed as the most prestigious awards ceremony for music artists, the Grammy Awards 2012 did not fall short in attendance. Big stars and starlets arrived at the awards show rewarding us with fashion hits and misses when can all talk about. But aside from that, there were a lot of memorable things that happened during the night. I still can't get over the fact that Adele won 6 Grammys (winning all categorires she was nominated for). I am very happy that she was able to get her singing voice back after being sick for a long time. Her performance was amazing! I am a fan, and she is just an inspiration. Her songs, and she herself is a winning testament that heartbreaks and sorrow can be turned into treasured gold. If you can't win in love, that doesn't mean you can't also win in life.

And who can forget the heartfelt rendition of Jennifer Hudson of "I Will Always Love You", as a tribute to Whitney Houston who recently passed away? Lovely! I also loved Rihanna's performance as well as Alicia Keys and Bonnie Raitt's.

Anyway, here is my short review on the red carpet fashion at the recently concluded Grammy's. Enjoy!

ADELE looked super gorgeous in her sparkly Giorgio Armani dress. The make-up, the hair and the aura, everything about her that evening is just glowing and so beautiful. She to me has one of the prettiest face ever. Ganda ng lola nyo! Winner!

Adele may have been the biggest winner, but the best dressed for me is RIHANNA. Her Giorgio Armani black low-V dress just spells sexy, chic and classy in all levels. (Fact: you cannot easily have both 'sexy' and 'classy' together in one sentence). I love her hair and the gold accessories. BONGGA!!!

I rarely like Paris Hilton on red carpet events. But I must say that she totally nailed this Basil Soda embellished white chiffon gown. She looks very well kept, classy and very sophisticated. Dyosa lang ang peg! Good Job!

Alicia Keys in Alexandre Vauthier. Black and Gold always looks great together. She looks so polished in this look. Bet!

Yet another stunning black and gold look. Giuliana Rancic, despite her current battle against cancer, looks very chic and glowing with this Gerges Chakra ensemble. Cancer Warrior, bongga ka teh!

Lubusin na natin ang black and gold combination. Gwyneth Paltrow looks very sexy in this Stella McCartney dress. I personally think she's like wine, she just gets better in time.

Isa pa to, kung kelan tumatanda, tsaka nagmumukhang Dyosa. Kate Beckinsale in Zuhair Murad looked fresh and very young. Although she could have changed her hair do into a more kept and in-place style, it will look a lot better.

Speaking of hairstyle, spell BLUE?!?! Katy Perry's Elie Saab ensemble could have been a major hit if not for her blue do. Although I do not totally hate it, but should she have had a more normal and classy do, her sophisticated couture gown could have made her look like a royalty.

Itodo na din natin ang chikahan aabout hair. Kelly Osbourne in a light purple hair (or what seems like it). Pero achieve na din because I totally love her sequined Tony Ward couture gown. I love the make-up too. very shiny shimmering splendid lang ang peg.

Taylor Swift, in a hair do like we have never seen before, looked like a million bucks in her Zuhair Murad couture gown. This look really reminds me of Nicole Kidman. Is it just me, or is really just me? LOL

Shinning Shimmering Splendid din ang peg ni ate Carrie Underwood in her Gomez-Garcia gown. Looks great, but I knida feel that the look has some sort  of an old spirit kind of vibe. She looks glowing but she doesn't quite look young and fresh.

Speaking of young and fresh, take it from lola Cindy Lauper in a very chic and playful take on a tuxedo dress. Her Cruela Devil hair makes me wanna sing "Ooohh, girls just wanna have fuuuuunnnn....."

Now this is how you will look like when you had way too much fun. Corrine Bailey Rae in Christian Siriano. Witch in the City ang peg. Though the dress looks very nice, the messy hair messed up this very messy look. What a mess! choss!

Kung sa taas may witch, si lola Fergie naman ang Jack o' lantern. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! While I commend her bold choice of color, this lace-y Jean Paul Gaultier gown with her peeking black underwear looks very tacky and cheap than bold and fashion forward. Que horror!!!

Hillary Scott of the band Lady Antebellum looked vampy and sexy in this ombre tigh-high slit gown by Filipino designer Monique Lhuillier. Full figured women who knows how to embrace their body and look beautiful are always admirable. Slit kung slit lang ang labanan! PAK!!!

Jessie J in a disco mirror ball inspired Julien MacDonald dress complete with the paparty ako hanggang umaga bangs. Yun na!

Bangs lang ba ang labanan? Ansaveh ng golden bangs ni kumareng Kathy Griffins? In her Michael Kors dress, bet nang pang aura sa isang dinner party sa US Embassy ang outfit. KERE!

Isama na si mareng Kelly Rowland in her very outdated Alberta Ferretti gown. Lakas maka-ninang!!! And the hair! I would like to think her hair is only just a tribute to lola Whitney RIP.

Anong sinabi ni Little Red Riding Hood kay Nicki Minaj? Her Versace gown complete with hood and gloves looked like a twilight fan church nun gone mad. Di ko to kinaya! Promise!

Snooki in BB Addictive dress. Wala akong masabi. NEXT!!!

Allisson Krauss in her Mumu sa Baul outfit. Awaaaaard!!!

Bonnie McKee in her sarimanok inspired outfit, complete with yellow abaca fiber for added vitamin A. Sakit sa bangs!!!

Esperanza Spalding in her fabric shop inspired outfit. Mukhang pinagtatali at tagpi-tagping kumot, bed sheet, punda at kurtina. Pili na!!

Robyn in... nevermind.

It kinda sucks not seeing the likes of Beyonce or Lady Gaga down the red carpet. Although Lady Gaga did attend the awards show, for some uncanny unknown reasons, she kept her presence kind of on a low key at thie year's Grammys. Well, I kinda get it. And I respect that. She knew very well that it was Adele's night and moment and she keeping it low key during the night is some sort of admirable, for me.

Anyway, too much fashion and boo boos and music and stuff. It's past midnight and it's Feb 14 already. Happy Valentines day everyone!!!! Wish you all love and great romantic stuff today. :)

Will sleep now, and will leave you with this....

Lady Gaga in custom Versace. AWAAAAAARD!!!!!

2011 Playlist: My 2011 in Songs

Year 2011 is coming to an end, sooner than we all expected. And before we bid adieu to the year that has been and welcome 2012 (I always get chills whenever I read/write/think of this number) with a bang, I would like to share with you the songs that make up the soundtrack of my 2011. Songs (both old and new) which capture all the experiences, emotions, thoughts and moments I had in this entire year. Some were good, some were bad, but all definitely shaped me and made me a better person.

The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Moved

For a lot of moments this year, I felt like I am the man who can't be moved, (or the man who can't move on). That no matter what I do, and no matter how hard people I love push me away, I still go back to that "corner" in my heart and mind where I am most happy and strong---that certain corner where the people I love will forever be.

Beyonce - Love on Top

This Beyonce song just can't help but make me feel happy. It also makes me feel so in-love even though I really am not in-love with someone. This is one of my songs with my favorite Ate, the woman I trust the most and the one whom I can be at my most honest, most fragile and most vulnerable---Ate Caress Caballero. Booty, I miss you so much! Will see you soon! :)

Lady Gaga - Born This Way

"I am beautiful in my way coz God makes no mistakes. I'm on the right track baby, I was born this way". Enough said.

\
India Arie - The Heart of the Matter

This is my song for that certain person that I truly love and admire, and despite the rollercoaster ride we both had with each other, (losing that respect and trust, and regaining them back), I still feel the same for him. He is still the best friend that I have and will always be. I still love him and respect him and will always be here for him no matter what happens.

Frou Frou - Let Go

And there are the people and things I had to let go of, not because I want to but because I need to---to make room for new and better people and things in my life.

Nicki Minaj - Super Bass

This is my ultimate song for this year. Not because I am a Nicki Minaj fan, nor I love rap songs, but this is one hella fun song that makes me happy every time I hear it. This is the first rap song I have ever memorized. Haha! And ask my friends, whenever they hear this song, I am always the first person they come to remember, promise!

Pink - Raise Your Glass

This song never fails to boost my confidence and spirit whenever I feel sad or down or just plain blah. Besides, this is my ultimate road trip song. I can still imagine that car ride on the way home with my two best guy buds Markki and Mac.

The Killer - Smile Like You Mean It

:)

Adele - Someone Like You

Just because I freakin love Adele, and just because her songs are just so spot on for all drama queens like me. This song is the ultimate tearjerker and heartbreaker for me. The pain, the hurt, the love.... all that. Ugh!

So there, the songs of my year. What's yours?

By the way, I will be flying to somewhere later early morning and I am not sure if I will be able to post till I come back. Anyway, I would like to greet you guys a Happy Happy Christmas and a Bountiful New Year!

xoxoRJ
